This module has been deprecated. Convert to using opacity by nodal data on tubes.
texture wave
The texture wave module utilizes transparency and texture mapping similar to texture colors and illuminated lines technology to create an animated effect. However, unlike illuminated lines, this module works with both OpenGL and Software Rendering.
texture wave has a single input port that accepts the grid with nodal data that you want to color with this technique. This would normally be tubes or streamribbons.
Ports
| Direction | Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Input | Input Field | Field | The field to use for creating texture waves. |
| Output | Output Object | Renderable | The textured output. |
Properties
| Property | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Mode | Choice: Full Sine Wave, Cosine Squared, Cosine Medium Pulse, Cosine Short Pulse, 50% Square Wave | The Mode allows the user to determine how the phase affects the texture of the line. |
| Phase | Double | The Phase slider allows you to control the current position of the oscillation. |
| Phase Loop | Button | The Phase Loop controls the method for animating the change through the phase values. |
| Number Of Steps | Integer | The Number Of Steps determines the length of the animation. |
| Texture Resolution | Integer | Texture Resolution is the internal resolution of the image used for texture-coloring. |
| Minimum Amplitude | Double | Min Amplitude is the minimum opacity of the objects. |
| Maximum Amplitude | Double | Max Amplitude is the maximum opacity of the objects. |
| Contrast | Double | Contrast affects the contrast (similar to color saturation). |
| Data Component | Choice | The Data component to display. |
