Our Story
In 1989, Reed D. Copsey, Sr. founded C Tech Development Corporation. What began as advanced 3D finite element modeling for large-scale mine dewatering simulation quickly revealed an unmet need: high-quality 3D volumetric modeling was virtually nonexistent outside of oil exploration and gold mining.
C Tech set out to change that. The company’s mission from the start has been to make powerful 3D volumetric modeling accessible to organizations working on projects of all sizes and budgets. That mission led to the development of Earth Volumetric Studio, the industry’s most comprehensive platform for 3D environmental, geologic, and Earth Science data analysis and visualization.
Today, C Tech has hundreds of customers and thousands of users on every continent. Earth Volumetric Studio is the gold standard for environmental site assessment, litigation support, geologic modeling, geophysics, oceanography, mining, and many other fields.
